24.12.2009 Merry Christmas!

Dear friends! Please find our warmest greetings in Christmas and coming New year! We wish you prosperous New year and all best luck! Let all your dreams come true!

21.12.2009 New year - new products

This year TeKnol celebrates 6 years of «CompaNav-2» navigation system serial production. The continuous interest for such systems and high demand at the navigation system market make us work hard to improve system performance and offer optimal solution for each of our valuable customers. Now TeKnol is going to expand the product assortment and in 2010 start production of three new navigation systems, utilizing advantages of the newest micro-electro-mechanical (MEMS) rate and acceleration sensors. The system modeling stage and preliminary tests have been finished at the end of this year.

The first new product will be integrated inertial/satellite (INS/GPS) navigation system «CompaNav-3». Its accuracy characteristics are similar to these of «CompaNav-2», but «CompaNav-3» compact size and light weight open new areas for system application.

Another new product is integrated navigation system «CompaNav-4», where MEMS rate sensors with high stability of performance characteristics are utilized. This system is capable to maintain continuous coordinates and speed determination with reasonable accuracy even during long periods of satellite signal loss (up to 30 minutes).

High grade navigation system «CompaNav-5» utilizes stand-of-the-art high precision MEMS rate sensors and is the first navigation system with MEMS sensors, which is capable to function in inertial mode (without correction from satellite navigation system) for long time (about an hour) and provide performance characteristics comparable with high-grade inertial navigation systems.

More information about new products and preliminary data sheets will be available on our web site at the beginning of 2010.

22.10.2009 Meeting with Sensonor

The representatives of Sensonor (Norway) , one of the leading companies in global MEMS industry, visited TeKnol in Moscow. Sensonor presented its new MEMS gyro product, featuring excellent accuracy and stability characteristics. At the beginning of the next year TeKnol plans to start test of Sensonor ultra high performance MEMS gyro and its integration into new TeKnol navigation system products.

15.10.2009 Russian Mi-26 carries Chinook helicopter

Russian helicopter Mi-26, owned by "Vertical-T" company and equipped with TeKnol PGC-A system performed an evacuation of Chinook cargo helicopter, hard landed in Afghanistan. See details on www.defense-aerospace.com.

18.06.2009 PGC-A: extended functionality

Portable Glass Cockpit System (PGC-A) is designed to enchance flight safety and situational awareness. PGC-A provides the whole range of flight preparation, inflight and post mission operations, as well as geodetic and rescue missions planning and carrying out. Geodetic mission flight plan comprises set of lines with fixed flight altitude above the ground and fixed distance between lines. For rescue missions special "spiral" route can be designed. It means the flight is started from the specified point and proceeds according to the curves of unwinding (or twisting) spiral with fixed distance between curves.

11.02.2009 CompaNav-2: new data output interface

Ultra-compact integrated inertial-satellite navigation system CompaNav-2 is a key product of TeKnol. In 2009, to simplify the system connection to various navigation data acquisition systems, TeKnol has developed a CompaNav-2 modification with data output via RS 422 interface.

05.01.2009 Personal Navigation System: modification

January in TeKnol started with new modification of Personal Navigation System development. The new model will be more compact and will provide stable long-term indoor navigation. Various indoor tests showed out that improved navigation algorithm guarantees indoor coordinate determination with positioning error of 2% from travelled distance. The navigation system development is in progress – the hardware upgrade is forthcoming.

15.11.2008 ApFlEx – enhanced functionality

ApFlEx is a key software product to operate with TeKnol navigation systems and Flight Control System. Meeting the customer requirements, aerial survey mission planning function was added. Today to create new flight plan for aerial survey mission, user just needs to specify the survey region and flight altitude and to enter desired image overlap. While planning, UAV operating limitations are considered automatically.

31.10.2008 Oleg Salychev is awarded N.N. Ostryakov's honorary prize

Professor Oleg Salychev, TeKnol Technical Director, is awarded by the Ostryakov's honorary prize of the Russian "Academy of Navigation and Motion Control".

This prize was established in 1946 and is awarded once in two years to distinguish the scientists and specialists for their significant contributions into the development of fundamental and applied science in the field of navigation and motion control.

27.05.2008 Irkut and TeKnol: Сooperation Agreement

The head of Irkut Corporation UAV Department and TeKnol CEO have drawn a Cooperation Agreement. According to the Agreement in 2008-2009 TeKnol will supply Irkut Corporation with Flight Control System for UAV which will be installed at Irkut-10 and Irkut-3 aircrfat.

The Ultra-Compact Integrated Navigation System is a combination of low-cost low-size MEMS sensors and high-speed processor chip.

TeKnol Ltd. is a partner of the Laboratory of Inertial Geodetic Systems (LIGS). TeKnol Ltd. implements LIGS's scientific research into commercial products and establishes the partnership with companies and organizations worldwide for mutually profitable projects development.
